Breathing Room for the Soul, Vol. 1

Styled by Anjel was born in June 2020 during one of the most difficult periods—the COVID-19 pandemic. It all began with a simple post: "Let Me Style You." From that post, Ashley styled her first client and embarked on a journey that has since enabled her to work with families and individuals for various events, from job interviews to upscale galas. Through networking, she has had the privilege of building both personal and professional relationships.

As a member and panelist with "Phenomenal Woman Phenomenally You," a Branding Platform led by Marviette Usher, Ashley is passionate about sharing her expertise in body image, wardrobe curation, and organization with clients. Next summer marks five incredible years in business, and she is excited to celebrate this milestone while continuing to create meaningful connections and empower others through style.

Her newly published book, Breathing Room for the Soul, Vol. 1, is a heartfelt compilation of poems and quotes designed to inspire healing, forgiveness, and endurance. This work reflects the author's journey of overcoming adversity, depression, and healing from sexual trauma. In addition to promoting Volume 1, Ashley is actively publishing Volume 2 and preparing to pursue graduate studies. Furthermore, Ashley has launched a YouTube channel titled Word of Life, where messages of healing and encouragement are shared. Ashley remains deeply involved in ministry work, focusing on outreach, teaching, and empowering others. Ashley cherishes the insights of wisdom gained from personal experiences, which facilitate thoughtful decision-making and the ability to navigate challenges with intentionality, clarity, and purpose.

The capacity of resilience helped her overcome obstacles and persevere, which has been a driving force throughout Ashley's journey. There is a strong sense of pride in the unwavering determination to continue moving forward regardless of circumstances. Ashley relies on relatability, empathy, and compassion to foster connections with others. These relationships contribute to personal growth and adaptability through emotional intelligence. These qualities empower her to transform challenges into opportunities for greater achievements.

She believes it is essential to seek God first and to ensure that financial gain does not become the primary motivation behind one's goals and plans. When God remains the focal point, there are no limits to the promotion and increase that can be experienced in life. She leaves this powerful thought to remain teachable because no one knows it all.
